There are short term and long term connections that are possible for Chinatown. Visual connections are the initial base upon which a re-connection of Chinatown can be made to the surrounding Chinatown urban fabric. Physical pedestrian connections are also required both internally through the MTA Blue Line Station, Olvera Street, Union Station, and City Hall. In the long term, buildings need to be carefully site so they assist and strengthen any future connections that propose MTA Blue Line Stations and potential southernly urban connection for Chinatown.
